Jährlich erkranken ca. 85.000 Menschen an Krebs infolge des Rauchens. Ein Rauchstopp verringert nachweislich die Sterblichkeit und kann die Lebensqualität steigern. Die Hilfe zum Rauchstopp ist eine der wirksamsten und kosteneffektivsten Maßnahmen. Pflegefachpersonen können dabei eine bedeutende Rolle im Behandlungsprozess übernehmen.
Every year, approximately 85,000 people are diagnosed with cancer caused by smoking. Tobacco cessation is significantly associated with improved survival and quality of life. Tobacco cessation support is one of the most effective and cost efficient interventions. Nurses can play a significant role in the treatment process.
